In setting fees we are sensitive to the nature of the case and the limitations on affordability. The fee is agreed between the parties and the mediator in advance and is ordinarily shared equally between the parties. Fees reflect the complexity of the case and the time required to prepare for and conduct the mediation. For cases involving problems in personal relationships, different scales will typically apply.
